Key words: Adler theory, inferiority, social interest
The study suggests an interpretation of Adler theory, starting from inferiority complex, a very popular issue today which Adler himself forged. Adler’s first works stress that a feeling of imperfection, organic frailty, this inferiority feeling (he defines it organ language) is deeply rooted in human nature and represents a peculiar condition of human existence. As man cannot avoid success, due to his striving for perfection, his sole chance is a compensation through fictional final goals. Concept of compensation highlights meaning of life as dinamic system of upward striving. According to Adler, it represents fictional finalism of human nature. Another very important Adler theory underlines how social feelings direct towards concrete goals, develop ability to love and spiritual development, by keeping faith to striving for perfection, which is an evolution rule for all living. The goal of therapy is to feed and strenghten social interest as much as possible. As a matter of fact, Adler underlines how all mental disorders have to be related to the separation of people from their environment.
