It is less often recognized that Jung’s contrast to Freud was based on his own Phenomenological sensibility, in spite of the fact that it was fairly unsophisticated and poorly disciplined; but it does exist. Nevertheless classical phenomenologists tend to criticise Freud and Jung for the same reasons without knowing that much of their critique was largely anticipated by Jung. On the contrary, Jaspers was the one who, out of all the phenomenologists, was able to find out a combinable association between jungian thought and phenomenological movement because he understood that Jung’s thought was an overcoming from naturalism to post-naturalism.[:]
